    Hi.
This place looks to have been a great place for support in the past, but postings are thin on the ground lately. Is the site still used?

OK, a case of watch this space I think.

I hope you can get it off the ground again. Just started with venlafaxine and not having a good trip so far.

Good luck with the site if you decide to revive it.

    Hi there
Its Ree here from Australia, its been a long time.
I have been good, but you know still have my moments, a couple of black episodes this year, just getting over one now, but its all good. Still taking venlafaxine, with some Sodium Valproate when I need it.

Well I see this site has not been active for some time, I hope you get this message, especially Venla...anyway my main reason for posting was to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a great 2010, this site was a great help to me and many others. Its 2.30pm here on Christmas Eve here in Oz and its very very hot, we are having heaps of bush fires, which is nothing unusual for this time of year.
    Cheers
    Ree

Thanks Ree, so nice of you to drop by. Hopefully Venla will get a chance to read this, but I've lost contact with her.

I'm also still on venlafaxine. Would be interesting to see what happens with the new formulation, Pristiq...

Merry Christmas and all the best for 2010!

I had been wondering the same thing. I like this site, I wish it was more active. I'm still on venlafaxine. It's been...5 years now. I had to think about that. I've heard of Pristiq too, I've head that the withdrawal effects are lessened. I get withdrawal (obviously) whenever I miss taking it to the point of hospitalization, so I'm considering trying it eventually.
    Hope everyone is keeping well.

    Hi jenemefer

Unfortunately I have lost touch with our main contributor, Venla. Hopefully though, I will find some means to revive the site in the near future.

Meantime, thanks for checking in. And yeah, I am still on venlafaxine too (along with Adderall). I think 5 years on my end too.

From what I've heard, Pristiq is not worth the change.

Hi, just found this site and hoping for some advice. Have been on the slow release capsules 75mg per day for four and a half years now. I'd love to come off them as I'm sure they have "taken the edge off" everything to the extent that I've become lazy in life. If ever I forget my daily capsule, I get very anxious within 5-6 hours, which I'm certain is a withdrawal symptom rather than the anxiety coming back. My GP has advised me to swap the capsules for a 75mg tablet each day as the first step to withdraw. Has anyone else tried this method?

Thanks for stopping by.. Regrettably I am unable to resuscitate the forum from its state of coma. It has been flatlining for the last couple of years now.

As to your question: didn't quite understand what your GP advised.. please clarify, although I haven't tried any withdrawal method, so am not much in a position to help.

Ven, Thanks for replying so quickly. The GP has recommended I switch from capsules to tablets in the first instance and get used to being off the slow-release. Presumably, after a month she will then recommend that I start to lower the dose gradually. My concern is that I will have bad effects changing from 75mg slow release to an all-in-one hit of 75mg once a day. I wondered if I should break the tablets in two and take half a tablet twice a day so that I don't get such a big dose all at once. The GP says I shouldn't notice any difference but I doubt she's read any of the horror stories. She's given me a month's prescription of tablets and I'm frankly scared to start taking them. I only have a week's supply of capsules left so I have to do it soon. Thanks in advance.

I have actually never heard of FXR tablets. :)

Why not stick to capsules, and simply take, say, three granules off the capsule each day?

(I assume you know it's real easy to open the capsules.)

Also, do a search on 'tablets' on the site to see if something comes up.

Oh well, time to take my 225 dose... :)
